General recommendations

  • Follow local traffic laws and regulations at all times.

  • Ride only in permitted areas. Use bike lanes when available. Avoid sidewalks unless local rules allow riding there.

  • Stay alert while riding. Watch for pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles, and road hazards. Avoid distractions and keep both hands on the handlebar.

  • Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Do not use a phone or headphones while riding.

  • Adjust your speed to road conditions. Slow down on wet, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Avoid riding in poor weather when possible.

Recommended Protective Gear

Wearing protective gear significantly reduces the risk of injury.

A helmet is strongly recommended or even mandatory in some countries (check your country’s status).

Additional protective gear is recommended, especially for new riders and longer rides:

  • Knee pads

  • Elbow pads

  • Wrist guards

Wear closed-toe shoes with good grip. Avoid loose clothing that could affect control or visibility.

Parking rules

  • Always park your e-scooter responsibly. Follow local parking regulations at all times.

  • Do not block sidewalks, crossings, doorways, or building entrances. Leave enough space for pedestrians, wheelchairs, strollers, and bicycles.

  • When possible, use designated bicycle or e-scooter parking areas. If none are available, park at the side of the sidewalk. Place the scooter parallel to the curb. Make sure it does not tip over.

  • Do not park in emergency access routes or restricted areas. Avoid parking near fire exits or narrow walkways.

  • Always ensure the scooter is stable. Uneven ground, wind, or traffic can cause it to fall.

  • Parking rules vary by city and country. It is the rider’s responsibility to follow local regulations. Incorrect parking may result in fines or removal of the scooter.

  • Responsible parking helps keep public spaces safe and accessible for everyone.
