ES210 / Circular 210 / Super LR: rear wheel, tyre and inner tube replacement

Instructions on how to change the tube and remove your rear tyre.

Written by Lise Augment

Applies to: ES210 and Super LR, including Circular 210 scooters with the same rear-wheel and cable-operated disc-brake assembly. Match the actual hardware to the guide. Use the separate model instructions for Alturo, Agaru or the seated Augment 360.

A wheel is the complete assembly removed from the scooter. The outer tyre and inner tube are separate parts fitted to its rim. Replacing a tube therefore has three stages: remove the wheel, replace the tube or tyre on the bench, then refit the wheel and check the brake.

Before starting

Park the scooter securely, switch it off and follow its removable-battery instructions before repair work. Keep the charger disconnected. Use the correct replacement tyre/tube and valve configuration. If you are unsure of the part or the hardware differs, ask Augment support before continuing.

Tools for the demonstrated rear-wheel assembly: 3 mm and 5 mm Allen keys and a suitable pick for gently lifting the reflector-sticker edges. Tyre/tube work also needs bicycle tyre levers and a pump with a pressure gauge.

1. Remove the rear wheel

The video shows the side covers and their hidden fasteners, the rear-fork/axle fasteners and the brake caliper and cable release. Keep each fastener and guide plate in order. Retract the inner brake pad as shown to clear the disc; do not force the wheel past the brake. Remove the wheel only after the required fasteners and caliper are released.

2. Replace the inner tube or outer tyre on the removed wheel

  1. Fully deflate the tyre before releasing a bead from the rim.

  2. Use tyre levers carefully so they do not damage the tube or rim. Remove the tube and release its valve through the rim.

  3. Inspect inside the tyre and rim for debris, sharp objects or damage before fitting the replacement.

  4. If replacing the outer tyre, follow its rotation arrow. Fit one bead, place the valve correctly through the rim and lay the tube inside without twists or folds.

  5. Refit the remaining bead without pinching the tube between the bead, rim and levers.

  6. Inflate to the current model-specific instruction for the fitted tyre, and check even seating on both sides and that it holds air. A pressure shown in an older demonstration or a sidewall maximum is not a universal operating-pressure setting.

3. Refit the wheel and check the brake

Follow the video for the guide plates, correct wheel/axle positioning, axle fasteners, caliper and cable, and side covers. The demonstrated cover uses the shorter bolt at the rear and the longer bolt at the front. Keep the caliper aligned with the disc and adjust the pad/cable as shown so the wheel turns without brake drag and the brake works correctly. Do not guess tightening torques.

Before riding, confirm all removed fasteners are secure, the wheel has no play, it turns freely and squeezing the brake lever stops it. Check that the brake releases. Only after these checks pass, test braking at low speed in a safe area away from traffic. Do not ride if braking is weak, a part is missing or damaged, or any fault remains; contact Augment support.
