If your Augment scooter is stolen, follow these steps to report the theft, manage insurance claims, and arrange for a replacement:
Immediate Actions
File a Police Report - Report the theft to your local police, either online or in person. - Include the scooter’s serial number (e.g., starting with SA, AUAL or EGSU), a detailed description, and its new purchase value in the report. -
Notify Your Insurance Company (Optional) - If you have private theft insurance, inform your insurer and provide the police report and your original purchase receipt as proof of subscription.
Send the Police Report to Augment - Submit a complete, confirmed copy of the police report (not just the receipt) to Augment’s customer support. This is required to process your case and archive it in your profile.
Replacement Process and Fees
Determine Your Coverage - If you have Augment Theft Protection: - Ensure all subscription payments are up to date. - Confirm the scooter was connected to the system before the theft. - Pay the applicable deductible: - Scooter + battery: €150 - Scooter only: €100 - Battery only: €125 - Without Augment Theft Protection: - Replacement costs are higher: - Scooter + battery: €350 to 450€ Scooter only: €250 to 350€ - Battery only: €199 to 299€
Receive Your Replacement - Once the deductible is paid, Augment will ship a replacement scooter, and your subscription will continue as usual.
