File a police report
If your scooter is stolen, the first thing to do is to file a report with the relevant authorities. This is useful for several reasons:
Filing a report allows the theft to be reported to the authorities, which may help recover the stolen scooter.
It enables you to obtain a police report, which is useful as proof of theft for an insurance claim, for example.
Filing a report helps deter thieves. It can raise awareness among local authorities about the frequency of scooter thefts in the area and encourage them to take measures to prevent them.
Notify your private insurer if you have separate theft insurance. Informing them about the theft is an important step in the process.
It is mandatory to include the serial number and a detailed description in the police report. If you do not know the serial number, please contact customer service. Additionally, the police report must be the full, complete document — not just a case number or receipt. It must include an official police stamp and/or signature, the scooter's new-price value, and only the final filed police report (e.g., "plainte définitive") is acceptable. Pre-reports or acknowledgments are not sufficient. Ensure the report is submitted in PDF format.
Can the scooter be remotely locked?
Yes, this is possible and is automatically done by our agents whenever a theft is reported.
Can the scooter be geolocated?
The scooter is not equipped with a geolocation system.
