Theft coverage explained

Augment Theft Coverage is an optional service designed to give you peace of mind when using your Augment e-scooter.

In short: if you have an active Theft Coverage subscription, you may receive a refurbished replacement scooter and/or battery in case of theft or vandalism. Deductibles apply.

Eligibility & Prerequisites

To be eligible for Theft Coverage, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • Theft Coverage must be active before the incident occurs

  • Theft Coverage can only be added to an active Augment e-scooter subscription

  • The scooter must have been connected and locked in the Augment app within the last 24 hours

  • One Theft Coverage subscription applies to one scooter only

    Locking requirements must be followed at all times for coverage to apply

Subscription Terms

  • Minimum contract term is 6 months

  • After the minimum term, the subscription continues on a monthly basis unless cancelled

  • Deductibles apply in case of theft or vandalism

  • All monthly fees and deductibles must be paid on time for coverage to remain valid

If you subscribed to our theft coverage:

All conditions must be met for the coverage to apply.

If so, the deductible is (at the time of writing):

  • €100 for the scooter only

  • €150 for the scooter + battery

Once the deductible has been paid, Augment will arrange shipment of the refurbished replacement equipment according to the terms of your coverage.
