Battery Usage & Longevity
Your scooter’s battery will naturally wear over time. A gradual decrease in range is expected and does not indicate a fault. Regular use helps keep the battery performing consistently, while long periods of inactivity may reduce efficiency.
Avoid repeatedly draining the battery completely. Frequent deep discharges accelerate long-term capacity loss and can shorten the battery’s lifespan. Battery performance can also vary depending on how the scooter is used. High mileage, frequent acceleration, heavy loads, and steep hills all increase battery wear.
Charging the Battery Safely
Always use the original Augment charger. Third-party or unofficial chargers may damage the battery and are not recommended. If your charger is lost or damaged, contact Augment support for a replacement.
Before charging, turn the scooter off and make sure the charging port is clean and dry. If the scooter is very warm after riding, allow it to cool down before connecting the charger.
Charge the scooter indoors, in a dry and well-ventilated area. Place the scooter or battery on a stable surface and avoid covering the charger or battery during charging. Once charging is complete, unplug the charger and disconnect it from the wall socket. Always close the charging port cover properly.
Temperature & Safety Guidelines
Charge the battery only at normal room temperatures. Do not charge in freezing conditions or in very hot environments. Never charge the scooter if the battery or charger is damaged or if the battery is wet. Stop charging immediately if you notice unusual heat, smells, or noises.
