Alturo M5 wording: An old reference to an “M5 hex key” does not establish a 5 mm key or a tightening torque for this Alturo. This manual does not verify either specification. Use the correctly fitting tool and the instructions for the exact Alturo fastener/version, or ask support to confirm them. Do not substitute Agaru M5 × 12 assembly instructions for Alturo.
Applies to: The stand-up Augment Alturo with a removable battery. Follow the exact country variant and fitted components. This manual gives a maximum load of 120 kg; check your vehicle label and any stricter variant limit. Use separate instructions for Agaru, ES210, ES One 10 and the seated Augment 360.
Before riding: Check the steering, folding lock, brakes, tyres and battery mounting. Do not ride with loose steering, an unsecured folding lock, ineffective brakes, a damaged tyre or a loose battery. Riding slowly does not make these faults safe. Stop use and contact support.
Buttons and modes: Hold the power button to switch on or off. One press of the function button changes the ride mode; two presses switch the lights on or off. In the illustrated version, Walk has no mode icon, Normal has a white icon and Sport a red icon. A mode icon is not the same as an error or temperature warning.
Cruise control: Only use cruise control if it is provided and permitted for your exact country/firmware version. In the illustrated version, holding a steady speed for at least 6 seconds activates it; pressing the throttle or brake exits it. An illustration does not establish availability or permission for another variant.
Display: The LED display shows current speed, battery level, ride mode, error messages and temperature warnings. Do not interpret a display warning as a charger light or apply error-code meanings from a different model.
Assembly:
Release the folded steering tube, raise it fully and secure the folding lock.
Secure the brake lever using the correctly fitting tool and the assembly instructions for your exact version. Do not guess the hex-key size or tightening torque.
Fit the left and right handlebar grips on the correct sides, following their markings and thread direction. Do not force threads. If parts or instructions do not match, stop and ask support.
Folding:
Park and switch the scooter off. Press the self-locking button on the right side of the folding lever, open the lever and press it down.
Fold the steering tube.
Secure its hook to the rear mudguard. Do not force a stuck mechanism.
Unfolding:
Release the hook from the rear mudguard.
Raise the steering tube fully upright.
Secure the folding lever and check that it is locked. If it will not lock firmly, do not ride or repeat forceful attempts; contact support.
Riding and stopping: Wear protective gear. Switch on, push off with one foot, then press the thumb throttle once moving and place both feet on the deck. Hold the handlebar and balance with your body. Use the throttle to accelerate; leaning forward or backward does not replace the throttle or brake. Turn gently, release the throttle to slow down and use the brake lever to stop. Put a foot down only as you come to a complete stop.
Removing and refitting the battery: The approved Alturo battery can be charged installed or removed. Switch off and unplug before handling it. Operate the release and lift the rear of the battery as shown in the matching guide. Refit with the terminals correctly aligned and the latch fully secured. Do not force it, pull on wiring or ride if the battery moves. Never open the battery casing. Agaru has different battery construction.
Battery safety: Use only the original charger approved for this exact Alturo battery. The manual specifies charging at 0–40 °C and a maximum operating temperature of 45 °C; follow any stricter battery label. Let an otherwise healthy, cold battery reach room temperature naturally and allow condensation to dry before charging. Keep the battery away from children and pets. Stop using and charging a damaged, leaking, swollen, overheating or unusually smelling battery; contact support.
Charging:
Switch the scooter off and check that the charger, battery and port are dry and undamaged.
Open the charging-port cover.
Connect the approved charger to the wall outlet, then to the battery.
Charge under supervision.
Disconnect after charging and close the port cover.
Indicator lights: Red on the compatible charger normally means charging. Green can mean completion or no charging load; it does not prove battery health. A red warning on the scooter display is a different signal. Neither a green charger nor a displayed 100% rules out a fault if charging fails or the scooter cuts out.
Storage and deep discharge: Store dry and check the battery at least monthly; recharge as directed before deep discharge. Do not wait three months between checks. If deep discharge is known or suspected, stop charging attempts and obtain technical review. Do not attempt revival with normal or prolonged charging, repeated reconnection, heating or external power.
Tyres and cleaning: Check cold tyre pressure against the exact Alturo variant and fitted tyre instructions. A sidewall maximum is not automatically the operating pressure; do not borrow another model’s value. Clean with a soft cloth. Do not wash with water or a pressure washer, or open internal electrical parts.
Side-cover tool: The Alturo side-cover screws use a regular Torx T25 bit. Follow the matching side-cover guide and stop if the bit, screw or fittings do not match or are blocked. T25 does not specify a battery, folding-lock or brake adjustment or a tightening torque.
Package and service: Check the contents promised for your actual order and packing list. A new-scooter package may list the scooter, charger, user manual and tool kit; replacement shipments can differ. Report missing or damaged listed items to support. Staff check the actual warranty rights and active service agreement before deciding a repair or replacement. Ownership alone does not prove service has ended, and a report does not guarantee free parts or immediate dispatch.
